Summary

Information on processing individual/group National Finance Center (NFC)-disbursed spot awards during the final Pay Periods (PP) of calendar year 2025 is provided below.

Implementation

Spot awards that are processed on the nightly schedule with Nature of Action Codes 840/841/849/887/889, Authority Code PAY, and Award Code C100 will be handled in the following manner:

• If processed by the Agency during PP 24, 2025, processing and disbursement will occur during the normal processing time frames and will be reported as part of tax year 2025.
• If processed by the Agency during PP 25 or PP 26, 2025, the awards will be held in suspense with the Personnel Input and Edit System (PINE) Document Type 110-Incentive Awards, Edit Message 149, Award with Pay Auth Held to Avoid Corrected W-2. These awards will be processed by NFC in PP 01, 2026, and will be reported as part of tax year 2026.
